「これ、カスタネットなの？」と思わず聞きたくなる試作品たち

音程を自由に変えられる、世界で唯一のカスタネット「ツイスト」を使ったワークショップでは、駄具道がこれまでに作ったさまざまなカスタネットの試作品を展示していて、毎回とても好評です。

The workshop using “Twist,” the world's only castanet whose pitch can be freely changed, displays various prototypes of castanets that Dagudou has made in the past, and they are always very popular.

試作品には、ちょっと変わった形のものもたくさん。実際に手に取って音を鳴らしてみたり、観察してみたりすると、「あれ？これどうなってるの？」と、自然にいろいろな気づきが生まれます。それだけでも十分楽しい時間になります。

さらに、「どうしてこんな音が出るの？」「どうしてこんな形にしたの？」といった疑問から、特許技術のメカニズムや開発のコンセプトに、少しずつ興味を持っていただけるようになります。

駄具道がカスタネットを開発する目的は、たとえ簡単な道具でも、決めつけずに自由な発想で見つめ直せば、もっと面白く、もっと良くすることができるということを伝えることです。

音の高さを変えられる「ツイスト」、複数の音を同時に鳴らせる「和音カスタネット」、カボチャやティラノサウルスのような立体的なカスタネット…。どれも「こんなのアリ？」という驚きが詰まっています。

そんなふうに、身の回りの道具も少し視点を変えて見てみると、新しい発見や思いつきが得られて、日常がちょっと楽しくなると思いませんか？

Many of the prototypes have different shapes. When you actually hold them in your hands and try to play the sound or observe them, you may find yourself saying, "What's that? What's going on here? and you will naturally notice many things. That alone is enough to make it an enjoyable time.

And then, "Why does it make such a sound? Why did you make it this way?”, you will gradually become interested in the mechanism of the patented technology and the concept behind its development.

The purpose of Dagudou's development of castanets is to show that even a simple tool can be made more interesting and better if we look at it with a free mind and without judgment.

The “Twist” that can change the height of a pitch, “Chord Castanets” that can play multiple notes simultaneously, three-dimensional castanets that look like a pumpkin or a tyrannosaurus.... Each one is full of surprises that make you say, "Is this possible? ".
