 カスタネットで和音を鳴らすことを検討して、たどり着いた発音メカニズム（ヘルムホルツ共鳴）。

窪みの容積と、開口面積（突起の高さ）で音の高さを変えられる！

３つの音が鳴るように、３つの共鳴空間を一つのカスタネットに構成したのが和音カスタネット。

一つの共鳴空間が変化できるように構成したのがTwistカスタネット。

カスタネットのような古代から変わらない簡単な楽器（道具）でも根本的に改良できる！

ヒトはなぜ音楽を愛するのだろう？

ヒトはなぜ歌うのだろう？

原始の音楽はどのようにして始まったのだろう？

どうすれば楽器演奏の敷居を下げて、音楽の楽しさを広げることが出来るのだろう？

このような問いに答えるために、和音カスタネット、Twistカスタネットを作りました。

Twistカスタネットを使って

小さな子供でも、８０歳の方でも

あるいは楽器が初めての人でも、本格的に打楽器を演奏している人でも

従来のルールに縛られないで誰もが自由に楽しめるワークショップを実施しています。

決まったリズムではなく、みんながバラバラに即興演奏しながら、全体が調和してくるポリリズムの不思議！

By exploring how to produce chords on castanets, I arrived at a new mechanism of sound production: Helmholtz resonance.

You can change the pitch by adjusting the cavity volume and the opening area (the height of the protrusions)!

The chord castanet features three resonant chambers within a single castanet to produce three distinct notes.

The Twist Castanet is designed so that one resonance chamber can be altered in shape to change the pitch.

Even a simple instrument (tool) like castanets, unchanged since ancient times, can be fundamentally improved.

Why do humans love music?

Why do humans sing?

How did primitive music begin?

How can we lower the barrier to playing instruments and spread the joy of music?

To answer these questions, I created the Chord Castanets and Twist Castanets.

Using Twist Castanets,  we run workshops where everyone—  

from small children to 80-year-olds,  

whether they're complete beginners or experienced percussionists—  

can all enjoy making music freely, without being constrained by conventional rules.

Instead of fixed rhythms, everyone improvises freely, the whole group naturally falls into a harmonious polyrhythm.

It’s a remarkable experience!

特許明細書には、発明の効果について色々書かれていますが、特に強調したいのは便利さとは異なる以下の点です。

”カスタネットのような簡単な構造の打楽器であるにも関わらず管楽器のような共鳴特性があるという新しい気付き、驚きを経験でき、そもそも楽器とは何かを楽しく考える効果がある。また、メロディーは演奏できないがコード進行は演奏できる和音打楽器の発明は、メロディーが主で和音やリズムは従であるという西洋音楽教育の思い込みを問い直す哲学的効果がある。”

人工知能AIには作れない文化的哲学的道具を考える、ちょっとおかしい素人が考えたことなので、大目に見ていただければありがたいです。
